A Year of Incheon Airport
Overview
To create a data visualization on a COVID-19-related topic, I designed this poster to illustrate the changes in the number of travelers passing through Incheon International Airport over 12 months, from June 2019 to May 2020. I focused on defining visualization elements that intuitively highlighted the sharp decline in international interactions caused by COVID-19.
From January to February 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic began, a dramatic drop in airport traffic became evident. Additionally, Japan’s export restrictions led to a significant decrease in the number of travelers departing from Korea to Japan, driven by the boycott movement.
